I'm only attracted to AFAB people regardless of gender, what
What traits do "AFAB" people have in common? A trans man who is post op and on T has nothing in common with a cis woman so what unites them in your mind? I personally think only dating AFAB people is a red flag because it seems like you don't see trans men as equal to cis men. Reducing people to their assigned sex isn't a sexuality.
I'm sick of people saying they "are" AMAB or AFAB. : r/MtF - Reddit
A lot of people use it with malice but maybe it's because I'm a pedantic bitch, I rather like it. It's more correct (and less transphobic) than man or woman in specific cases. For example, it's better to say "All AFAB people have uterus es (which, as I understand it, is not entirely true but close)." than "All women have uteruses (transphobic)."
Non-westerner non-binary culture and AFAB people : r/NonBinary
So in some societies, amab third gender people do have a traditional role in society, whereas afab gnc people just kind of get less studied and discussed. For instance, muxes (third gender in Southern Mexico) have had documentaries and books made of them, whereas nguiu' (who are afab and part of the same society) often appear as a footnote to them.
Every time someone says “women and afab people”, I age five years.
I assume people say it because AFAB doesn't necessarily mean women but someone may still have the same experiences. Women includes transwomen, while AFA includes trans men or non-ninary people, while still making it clear the discussion is about an issue affecting women/someone who is AFAB but doesn't identify as a women.
Recommendations: boxer-briefs for AFAB : r/NonBinary - Reddit
Apr 7, 2018 · Seconding the American Eagle recommendation. So far, they're the only boxer briefs designed for AMAB people that don't have a ton of fabric in the front, so they're comfy for me (AFAB). Also going to toot the TomboyX horn - they are a little pricey, but they have discounted 3-packs of items, frequent sales, and reward options.
Only AMAB people can be transfem, and only AFAB people can be …
An afab person can be transfem, then, because afab people can be non-binary and lean femme, go by she/her and they/them, etc. That's why you should not gatekeep, because even though it's most COMMON for transmasc folks to be afab, and transfem to be amab, it's not a rule at all, because both afab and amab folk can be non-binary, and transfem ...
Have you noticed people using “femmes” as a replacement
Plenty of masculine people can still be seen as women and experience sexism similar to how a woman might. Plenty of people who are femme experience transmisogyny as opposed to other femmes who might be seen as "just women." Some feminine NB people are AFAB and able to go through the world, functionally, as women. Not useful there.
afab enby feeling unwelcome in women’s spaces : r/NonBinary
Honestly, I’m AFAB genderfluid and I would be pissed if someone said that I don’t get to exist in women’s spaces because, regardless of how I identify, to me at least, being AFAB is a major part of my history and development. And a lot of non-binary …
AFAB people and women have always been allowed to be drag
Modern mainstream drag culture is largely cis gay men in drag appropriating The Black, Brown, and mostly trans performers in ballroom culture. “Drag culture” today is literally a whitewashed version of ballroom culture. Drag itself appropriates much more then afab people have or …
Why are there more AFAB enbies than AMAB? : r/NonBinary - Reddit
May 12, 2021 · AMAB trans people are murdered at higher rates. It can be easier for AFAB people to pass, while T lowers the voices of AMAB people and makes that harder (depending on your desired presentation). AMAB trans people have been colored as predators by media, while AFAB trans people are virtually nonexistent.
