Jul 18, 2023 · There's a few things. One is sony has a Dualsense updater tool. Your controller may be on old firmware. Next is DS4 Windows doesn't by default allow Dualsense support, go into settings and in the bottom right should be a "devices" or something like that button, click it and it will bring up a menu of other controllers it can connect (Dualsense, joycons, pro controller, etc).

You would be better off with the yellow L-8j or L-8j type with red pcb , no jitter and can center calibrate before running the ds4/5 software. After running software circularity goes from 20 down to around 6 and get full range of motion of stick to friction ring .

Jun 15, 2022 · Just an FYI, the Dualshock 4 for PS4 has better compatibility with Windows than Dualsense PS5 controller, the DualShock 4 doesn't need a firmware update or extra software for it to work on Windows, and neither controller will use the rumble or haptics when streaming on PC.

Mar 7, 2021 · I've also tested the DualShock 4 in Rocket League and found a statistically significant (p~0.001) difference between wired and wireless use (wireless is faster). These results suggest that Sony has fixed the "issue" that the DS4 had more input lag wired than wireless on PS4 for the Dualsense on PS5, but those improvements do not apply to the DS4.

Feb 14, 2022 · This isn't a guide, you're practically saying instead of using Steam DualShock 5 support, which is present, ditch this and use DS4Windows DualShock 5 support which seems better for you. And it's known that Epic bought games have problems with Steam, "thanks" to Epic interfacing, not Steam.

Oct 5, 2021 · I used a Dualshock 5 controller to play Tales of Destiny with no issues. When I tried playing Ape Escape 3, problems started happening. None of my inputs worked. When I tried assigning the controls again, the controls would assign to random inputs or not at all when I pressed the corresponding buttons.
