It's by the mangaka of Grand Blue, though I think the comedy in Grand Blue is better in manga format because a joke's punchline is often contained in a separate panel. Really funny. Konosuba is funny, especially Aqua's faces and voice actor.

Also highly recommend Lucky Star as a slice-of-life-ish anime packed to the brim with parody. It seems that male characters have a higher propensity at exhibiting funny anime faces. They tend to be goofier looking in comical scenes at a higher rate than their female counterparts.

Aug 6, 2024 · There is no reason to ever neglect or reject any form of comedy when the objective is only positive. Comedy is still 100% subjective, but just because one person doesn't find something funny, that doesn't mean no one finds it funny. Comedy anime is very often rejected, so I've made a stack of the comedy anime I've found funny.
