Pier 35 in NYC is a newly developed eco-park located on the often-overlooked section of the East River Esplanade. Designed by SHoP and Ken Smith Workshop, the pier features four wooden swings that were the highlight of my visit. Here’s why Pier 35 is one of the best piers in New York.

There is also a dog run, exercise features, a ball court, skateboard area, and plenty of other seating options for kicking back and relaxing.

Great views of both the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridge. We timed our visit just as the sun was setting for a gorgeous golden glow over the East River and the New York Skyline. Well worth a visit for a photo op!
