  1. The University of Tennessee Logo - Brand Guidelines

    The university logo combines two elements: the Power T icon block and the wordmark. Together, these elements uniquely communicate both our tradition of excellence and our position as a dynamic public research university.

University fiscal policy requires that one of the university-contracted licensed vendors be used to produce any merchandise that bears a university trademark.

    Everybody loves swag. From T-shirts, pens, and tumblers to lanyards, and sunglasses, promotional items are a great way to get the word out about your program or unit.

    Tennessee Orange is the most recognizable component of our brand and is key in making us stand out from the crowd. White and Smokey are also primary colors and should be used to accent the boldness of the Tennessee Orange.

    The official seal of the University of Tennessee features images of an open book, globe, sextant, gear, and laurels. The words “agriculture” and “commerce,” and images of a plow and riverboat, are elements of the seal of the State of Tennessee.
