Jan 19, 2023 · Walther released the P99 is dead 2023. It's not at all clear that it would return in any form of the PDP grip, but probably not given the send off. They are releasing a "Final Edition" P99 with that printed in large lettering on the slide. Walther officially stated other companies are doing fine directly copying their guns (Canik).
Walther P99 AS vs. HK P30S V3 - forum.pafoa.org
Sep 11, 2015 · The Walther has a better quality feel to it, although both feel great in the hand fit wise. The trigger on the HK is not even close to the trigger on the Walther. By shooting the Walther and the HK second you just want to go back to the Walther. The recoil on the HK 40 is almost the same as the Walther in 9, which is a plus for the HK. The trigger

Jun 22, 2009 · Re: Walther P99 AS or QA The AS model I can somewhat explain in lamens terms. So when you take a handgun to the range that starts out double action for the first shot and single for the rest, ever notice how the second shot sometimes is off because you weren't expecting the "shorter" pull for any given reason?
Walther .vs Glock | Glock Talk
Jul 5, 2008 · I had a Glock 34 (9mm competition) and a P99 (original, 9mm). The Walther was more comfortable, and more accurate. The accuracy was due to the better trigger on the Walther. The comfort is due to the fact that Glock didn't put much thought into ergonomics.

Walther PPQ vs PDP - Glock Talk
Nov 23, 2022 · The PDP-F is just the P99 grip without the finger grooves and a straight backstrap. Moves away from PPQ oval grip. The hump on the P99 is very pronounced. I tried adding a PPQ backstrap to the P99 to calm it down. They don't fit. So while an improvement, it's basically the same grip with no effort by Walther to improve (which they did).
Walther P99 Trigger Issue | Northeastshooters.com Forums
Feb 26, 2005 · Walther P99 trigger seems to be shaped in a way that allows the shooting finger to slip further into the trigger guard on recoil. This does NOT help accuracy in follow-up shots! [Yesterday I noticed that I was a lot more repeatable and accurate with my S&W 1911 .45 than with the P99 .40 and believe that this was a large contributor to the ...

Aug 11, 2012 · I've never come across a P990 (what Walther presently calls the P99 DAO), which was a true DAO configuration. Don't try to detail/armorer strip the frame. The locking block pin is pressed into place with a press (although armorers are taught how to remove it with a roll pin punch and ball peen hammer).
ammo for Walther P99 9mm - Glock Talk
Aug 10, 2004 · My Walther P99 QPQ performs flawlessly on all factory loaded ammos. I personally use Samson 115 Gr.JHP and Winchester's silvertip though during break-in period (around 200 rnds.) I had the 158 grainer low velocity (blue tip) from Samson. I also have had no problems with Armscor's full metal jacket , I get good groupings using this ammo.
Back to the Walther P99 | Glock Talk
Jan 31, 2018 · The day my dept went from the Walther P99 to the S&W M&P was one of the best days ever. I HATED every damned thing about the P99. I know a lot of people love them but for me, worst handgun I have ever dealt with. Terrible trigger, stupid paddle mag release, and jmho but about the ugliest pistol ever made. Makes GLOCK look like Miss America
