Mar 1, 2007 · In 2001 I thought I was having a relapse. I was 20+ years post-GBS. My B vitamin blood levels were in the low end of acceptable. Apparently due to my post-GBS status this was not adequate. I have been taking a B bomplex supplement since then. When it comes to nerve health you can’t take chances. Take the B’s.

Oct 15, 2007 · When I got GBS in 2005 the staff of the hospital told me about him and I knew he had gotten better. That information gave me hope. After arriving home and finding this forum I noticed he was an Honorary Member of the Board. I am glad he got this appearance on The Insider to spread the word about GBS.

You need to see what your dr says about using ivig or plasma exchange, getting an emg/ncv test, and see if there is more nerve damage, to what extent and go from there. The ivig helps stop the damage to the nerves, so can the plasma exchange. If you have more relapses, gbs changes to a dx of cidp. or the chronic form ...
